Kensington Gardens
Your Live, Your Way

Our History

Inspired by London’s 17th Century palace architecture and grounds, Kensington Gardens was custom designed to host weddings, corporate meetings, and charity events between 2007 and 2013.  The Georgian Manor, signature fountains, and formal English Gardens made a stunning backdrop for over 200 couples who chose to celebrate their wedding day at our luxurious estate. The Manor’s Ballroom accommodated 150 dinner guests.  Specializing in exquisite dinners and tiered, fruit-filled wedding cakes, Kensington Gardens quickly gained national attention as one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier wedding venues, and garnered two prestigious “Best of Western Washington” awards.

A New Vision

Delighted by the success of Kensington Gardens as an event venue, Kelly and Mark were also working with the challenges of finding quality continuing care for their aging loved ones.  Neither adult family homes, assisted living options, nor nursing homes in Tacoma WA offered the caliber of attentive and highly personalized care they desired—and their parents and grandparents deserved.  Kelly and Mark knew they could do it better—for their loved ones and for other families in Washington’s South Sound.

Relying on the same artistry and impeccable attention to detail that had been Kensington Gardens’ hallmarks, Kelly completely redesigned her signature Georgian mansion as Kensington Gardens Estate Senior Living.  It joined the adjacent Carriage House—which had already been providing impeccable senior care since 2012—in providing continuing care services previously unavailable in the area.  Kensington Gardens’ highly personalized model of luxury senior care in an intimate, home-style setting—to include custom nursing options and uniquely tailored activities—feels almost too intuitive and natural to be novel.  However, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything like it anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest.
